Gis srl was born in Carpi in 1956 thanks to an intuition of Mr. Giorgio Sgarbi who, in unsuspecting times, captured and understood the secrets of compressed air and its use, passion and dedication transmitted to his son Gianfranco. In July 2022 Gis srl was acquired by Sau Group.
Sau spa was founded in 1982 in Polinago in the heart of the Modena Apennines and has as its core business the production of tools, both carbide and mechanical clamping, of high quality for the global precision engineering industry.
In 2009 Sau joined the historic Reggio-based company BBO, which deals with tool sharpening and special parts production. In 2019 the company AGS Automation, with which the vertical warehouse “The Box” specific for tool management was developed, joined the group in partnership.
The distinctive feature of Gis is to be able to coexist the most modern and refined construction solutions with assemblies, checks, tests, typical of the best craftsmen. Each compressor produced is tested and certified according to the strictest European standards. The mission of our company is to satisfy customers with every possible means and, for this reason, we can be present in all continents of the world.
We have a wide selection of machines available: Hobby series compressors, professional, industrial, oil-free with powers from 0.34 kW up to 18 kW for piston compressors, both normal and silent.
Heavy duty industrial screw compressors with powers over 75 kW, refrigerated and absorption cycle air dryers, complete range of compressed air accessories, spare parts available.
In addition to custom production and compressors, we also take care of their maintenance, repair and periodic overhauls. Thanks to a high company flexibility, GIS offers the possibility to create customized compressors to meet every customer need.
